CommScope introduces LazrSPEED 550 Wide Band Multimode fiber to the global market. This recently published standard for OM5 performance is already available from the industry leading manufacturer of communications products. This new solution enhances the ability of short wavelength division multiplexing technology to provide a minimum four fold increase in usable bandwidth, while maintaining backwards compatibility to OM3 and OM4 infrastructure solutions. To meet the challenges associated with escalating data rates and the need to build cost effective infrastructure that can support bandwidth needs of today and tomorrow.
